The Jancon Institute of Atomic Physics is an effort towards placing the studies of atomic physics at the school secondary curricular grade level. It is time to start looking at the preparations of students before they enter college to deal with the concepts of post-Newtonian physics in order to provide them with a broader vision of the present trends in the basic disciplines that shape the subjects that will surround them both in their graduation and post-graduation reality and in their professional environments in a close future. We at the Jancon believe that physics in the school and academic circles shall not be studied or taught as if it was a fossilized subject that keeps its form and content unaltered since the early days of Isaac Newton´s `principia´ acceptance. The pace science and technology are evolving, by itself, pushes their individual roles closer and the dichotomy between academic activities and industrial endeavor is fading away as the academic university is pushed into a vortex by a binary combination of ever growing diminished funding for the maintenance and

development of a ´purely academic` university at one hand, while a better understanding that an university must be the primary center for the formation of professionals, at the other hand, completes the conjunction of a system of progressive forces that responds for the dynamic face of the University of the (close) future.
